Judee's Products - A Message of Hope: We Don't Die Well in the Western World
|
|
This
book takes us into uncharted waters. It offers new options
to Baby Boomers and those who measure their self worth not
by their age but by their state of mind. The prospect that
each of has our own destiny dream, a contribution to society
that is particular to each individual is a most compelling
concept, an intriguing puzzle to open, unravel and solve.
New society
of adults
Today
with the extra years available to us, the old ideas of middle
age and old age have changed. 55 year olds want to be counted
in. Starting a whole new career at 60 is not unheard of and
will become much more the norm, as will pursing your destiny
dream. Early in life, many people put off pursuing their heart's
desire because they were told to get a real job. Now they
will have the time to manifest what their life has been about.
Why this book was written
It
seems to me that we miss the point about growing old. We don't
view a baby as less than because they cannot speak for that
is just what babies do. Nor should we judge a twenty-some
who doesn't understand the ins and outs of living. We know
that with time, things will change, life will do its job and
the universe will unfold. We know that these things will come
with age.
We don't seem to be quite so open or hopeful about aging.
It is viewed as a time of scarcity and problems with the end
being the unspeakable... so we don't speak about it. Do we
try to avoid talking about the reality we all face - death
- in hopes that it will go away? It seems to me we miss the
magnificence and possibility of the last years of life.
We are invited to live our lives fully until we die. Today
with the extra years available to us, the old ideas of middle
age, retirement age, when am I no longer of value - all of
these have changed. Looked at from an appreciative perspective
we are invited to see our last years in terms of abundance
and possibilities. It is the time we can complete what is
our destiny dream, our reason for being on this earth.
My writing this book is the manifestation of my destiny dream.
